London Microbiome Workshop

The "London Microbiome Workshop : 16S From samples to analysis" will provide a one day introduction and overview to the steps involved in a 16S based microbiome experiment. Throughout the day there will be talks and practical workshops led by experts in the field. The morning session will cover aspects from sample collection and storage, to sequencing via DNA extraction and library preparation. The afternoon session will be a combination of lectures and tutorials on the analysis of 16S sequencing data, such as how to process 16S sequencing data, summarise the microbiome and carry out common analyses using the popular open source platform QIIME, which will be led by one of its lead developers.
